We took the ferry over to Oakland from SF to meet up with Ted, who we had met previously when he visited Mexico last spring. We had a drink down by the water with him and Liz, again watching a beautiful sunset. After we had a fantastic dinner at a small Laosian restaurant, wich really made us exited about going to Laos! The food was just so good, full of flavour and colour, similar to Thai food yet different. Yum! We had a really nice evening although we didn't see that much of the city, and already the next morning we jumped on a bus to go north...
